Albert Frankenthal A500 double circumference newspaper press with a web width of 1600mm and cut-off size of 560mm, manufactured in 1986. Press layout viewed left to right from operating side, comprises:
4 x 2 + 2 and 1 x 1+ 1 offset printing units, 4 x MEG reelstands (3 semi automatic & 1 automatic), A500 folder with two formers, 2 stitchers & 1 master stitcher for 3rd tabloid section.
.Prints 64 pages full colour straight and 32 pages mono in tabloid. In broadsheet 32 pages full colour and 16 pages mono.

Press completely refurbished in 2001 and fitted with new Harland Simon Press Controls and Siemens shaftless drive. The press is equipped with 5 x 4 colour satellite units, 1 x 1+1 unit, 6 Goss CT45 reelstands, Goss Imperial folder 3:2, 2 x Harland Simon control desks (each can serve as master)
